Review :

Overall, a great film with 2 legends

I was willing to suspend my disbelief going into this film. After all, we have 2 action heroes who's strong suits do not include 'acting'. Let me rephrase that, they're more like one-dimensional actors. I love them both, don't get me wrong, but Stallone will forever be known as Rocky/Rambo, and Schwarzenegger is the terminator. In this movie, I was shocked to find out they're actually sticking to their roles and not getting all cliché on us.

The chemistry between Stallone and Schwarzenegger was excellent and believable. The directing was good, the plot was phenomenal, and the prison itself was very impressive. Jim Caviezel plays a great evil warden. Caviezel was casted perfectly in my opinion. Stallone played the expert-jailbreaker very well also, was believable and not forced. The visuals and environment played a big part throughout the film and only enhanced it. The jokes were subtle but good as well. And i'm glad they didn't ruin the film with cultural references (terminator, rambo, etc). For once in so many years, these guys were acting.
